April Butcher, Executive Director.  April  has been the Foundation’s Executive Director for  7 years.  “I have worked and volunteered a great deal for children’s organizations and democracy efforts around the country and have come to see libraries as the most significant democratic institution for children in the United States.”  April is  the Vice President, President Elect of the California Public Library Advocates (CPLA) which is focused on supporting Friends, Foundation, Trustees and Commissioners in California.  She obtained a Theater Arts degree  from San Francisco State University and an MBA in Finance from The F.W. Olin Graduate School of Business, Babson College.

Yolanda Torrecillas, Development Manager. Yolanda sees herself as a conduit between great community programs and people who want to make a difference in the communities where they live, work and play. She has been actively involved in Sacramento’s nonprofit sector since 2000. A graduate of CSU Sacramento, she received her B.A. in Journalism, with a minor in History of the American West. When not at the Sacramento Public Library Foundation office, you may find her walking her dog, following local baseball, or reading a book
in a sunny spot.

Kayla Wonderly, Social and Electronic Media Coordinator, is seeking her bachelor degree from Sacramento State in both Public Relations and Journalism and is on the Sacramento State Gymnastics Team.  Kayla coordinates the Foundation’s social media and is responsible for the electronic email system used to contact donors. Kayla is an aspiring Public Relations professional and currently helps both her Gymnastics team and the CSUS One Book program with their social media outreach.

Dejan Zbur, Database Coordinator, is seeking his bachelor degree from CSUS majoring in English. He processes all of the Foundation’s donations, and supports the author’s selection committee for our annual gala, Authors on the Move. Dejan is an aspiring author himself and one day will be an author at our annual event.
