Saddle up with western authors for an East Meets West Hoedown at the downtown Pagoda building on June 25, 2014. This is a different kind of author experience reflecting how the West and East cultures have come together in California. You will dosey-doe with six award-winning authors including Will Bagley, Johnny Boggs, Chris Enss, Cheewa James, Bill Markley, Sherry Monahan and Nancy Plain.
Food powerhouses Mulvaney’s B & L and Fats Family of Restaurants are partnering up to provide tasty appetizers and complimentary wine will be served. And, the new Confucius Institute at UC Davis is wrangling up a demonstration on how to make and serve up Chinese dumplings.
A big thank you to Tom Naygrow, who has graciously offered the Pagoda building at 429 J St (Downtown at 5th & J Streets) to make this event come to life! The event will go from 5 p.m. to 8.p.m. Parking across the street is easy and inexpensive. Entrance is $50 per head so call 916.264.2990 and let us know how many tickets you’re riding into town with.
